LMC Mission strives to unite and strengthen by focusing on those who have been robbed of their basic human rights, the poor and marginalized. Mission is fundamentally about relationships. It is not the work which we do that is important. It is the people we work with. It is about the work that God does in their lives through us, and in our lives through them.
By partnering with various support structures, LMC is able to serve a wide variety of needs in our community, our country and beyond.

HOPE PROJECT

Sandy van der Vel heads up an incredible ministry in restorative justice, focused on those who have been imprisoned, cast aside and forgotten. After losing her father in a violent act of crime, Sandy began to discover God's plan amidst her heartache – to offer forgiveness through the love of Jesus Christ. “HOPE for me is about knowing and trusting in God's HOPE for me and then being able to share that HOPE with others. HOPE is about Healing, Purpose, Optimism and Encouragement, Enthusiasm and Energy to live and serve as God calls us to”.

The ministry to the children of Diepsloot aims to nurture children (5 to 13 yrs) physically, mentally and emotionally and thereby enable them to become informed, balanced and productive citizens. Get involved by assisting with activities, projects, arts and crafts. |

RESTORATIVE JUSTICE |
Bringing the light of Christ into the darkest places, the prison ministry aims to share the grace of Jesus with those who appear to have no hope. By providing counselling, teaching and support, we hope to restore broken lives and aid prisoners as they integrate back into society to lead full lives which are productive and sustainable.
